According to claims, House 5 contestant Tayla, 32, frequently brought visitors back to the property, a habit that allegedly began to wear on some of her fellow contestants when the drop-ins stretched late into the night.
Although having guests on site is not understood to be strictly banned during filming, insiders say Tayla’s active social life became a quiet talking point among the cast, particularly for those who saw the accommodation as a place to recover after exhausting days of renovating.
‘Tayla is social, outgoing and likes to enjoy herself, but not everyone enjoyed it as much as she did,’ an insider told New Idea magazine.
‘Other contestants occasionally had family members or close friends visit, but generally speaking, they kept to themselves as they were keen to rest after a hard day’s work.’
The source alleged the tension escalated when guests turned up late or when noise carried on after hours, with some contestants reportedly left short on sleep before another gruelling day on The Block worksite.

‘She was having fun and living her life, but the others felt that there needed to be some boundaries.’
The alleged tension also put Tayla’s father and teammate Rick, 63, in an awkward position, with the source claiming he was uncomfortable with some of the attention surrounding his daughter.
Despite the reported frustration, Tayla’s fellow Blockheads are said to have avoided confronting her directly, instead choosing not to create another source of conflict during the already intense renovation competition.
