Kevin Hart appears to have ignited a spat with Timothee Chalamet after making a remark about the actor’s slim physique on Wednesday.

The 46-year-old comedian, who recently commented on his own “unrecognizable” wax figure, made the controversial statement during a “rapid-fire roast” segment on the Call Her Daddy podcast.

During the episode, the conversation turned to comedy, with Hart revealed as the next celebrity to be featured in a Netflix roast, scheduled for release on May 10.

Host Alex Cooper explained that Hart could deliver “one-liners” as she mentioned various A-list celebrities, assuring it was all in good humor and nobody would take offense.

The first celebrity name Cooper mentioned was Chalamet, who is 30 years old.

Upon hearing the name “Timothee Chalamet,” Hart humorously responded, “The body of a German woman.”

When Cooper didn’t respond right away, the comedian glanced over at her and started to laugh before she called out the next name. 

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for both Chalamet and Hart, but did not immediately hear back.

The Oscar-nominated actor – who is currently dating The Kardashians star Kylie Jenner – has previously opened up about his build and revealed back in 2024 that he had lost out on roles in blockbuster films such as Maze Runner and Divergent. 

‘I would always get the same feedback, “Oh, you don’t have the right body.”‘ Chalamet told Rolling Stone UK at the time. 

‘I had an agent call me once and say, “I’m tired of getting the same feedback. We’re gonna stop submitting you for these bigger projects, because you’re not putting on weight.”‘

The star continued, ‘I was trying to put on weight. I couldn’t! I basically couldn’t. My metabolism or whatever the f*** couldn’t do it.’ 

He explained that he started to pursue indie movies such as Call Me By Your Name and Bones And All.

Chalamet has since become a big name in Hollywood by starring in the Dune franchise, Marty Supreme, Wonka and Interstellar. 

But to portray Bob Dylan in the 2024 movie A Complete Unknown, Chalamet gained 20 pounds. 

During an interview with NPR last year, the actor opened up about how he stepped into the shoes of the singer. 

‘I’ve turned over every stone. I did all the work, like you just described, physicality, behavior-wise,’ Chalamet said. 

‘But something we haven’t really talked about, I also put on 20 pounds because, believe it or not, I was thinner than the guy.’

Hart has also spoken about his own build and clarified his height back in 2024 during an episode of 60 Minutes. 

The Central Intelligence actor said he is ‘5ft 5in, like with a shoe on, like a sneaker. Now, if I put a boot on, I can get to 5ft 5in-and-a-half.’ 

During his appearance on the latest episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, Hart roasted a few other celebrities as well. 

After naming Chalamet, the podcast host called out Elon Musk. 

‘God, what do you say about Elon Musk,’ the actor began. ‘There’s so much happening that he glitches with the normal s***.’ 

He then called the SpaceX founder ‘a genius’ while adding, ‘So I will say the occasional glitch. The glitcher.’ 

Cooper then named Nick Cannon. ‘Sperm diffuser,’ the star said, seemingly referring to the TV personality being the father of 12 children. 

Hart added that Cannon ‘has the code’ when it comes to fathering kids. 

The next name on the list was Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. 

‘Patrick Mahomes has a voice that doesn’t go with his body,’ the comedian said in response. 

Singer Bruno Mars was the next star that the podcast host called out from a list in her hands. 

‘Bruno Mars. F*** man. Born in the wrong time. Bruno missed his calling, man. Bruno’s problem is with his parents. 

‘He’s pissed. “[Why] the f*** didn’t y’all have me in the ’60s and ’70s for? I should’ve been back there with those guys, man.” He’s got everything,’ Hart joked. 

Cooper then called out Robert Pattinson. 

Hart shared that he was still Team Jacob, referring to the sides Team Edward and Team Jacob from the Twilight franchise. 

‘I think I’m still Team Jacob, so I don’t know, man,’ while rubbing his eyes and letting out a laugh.

The last celebrity was music artist Machine Gun Kelly. 

‘The product of a wrong tattoo choice,’ Hart said. ‘There’s nothing he can do now. There’s nothing he can do about it. Can’t cover it up. Can’t do anything. It is what it is. 

‘He has a godd**n… he has a full-fledged shirt tattooed on him. Just a dark green shirt. Nobody can say anything. Everybody’s gotta accept it.’

The comedian then expressed how the pair are close friends. 

‘I know him. I love him. He’s such a good dude, too. I would never say anything. If he ever asked me, “What do you think about my tattoos?” I’d be like, “I think you did the f***ing right thing. I think you f***ing nailed it.’
