Anthony Edwards has emerged as one of the NBA’s most captivating players, known for his dynamic playing style and refreshingly candid interviews. However, off the court, he is reportedly facing legal challenges related to his personal life, as he is the father of four children with four different women. One of these women has recently taken him to court.

According to court documents acquired by TMZ, Edwards is currently providing $5,000 monthly in child support to Alexandria Desroches, the mother of his child, Amir, born in October 2023. While $5,000 is a significant sum, it’s a fraction of Edwards’s reported gross monthly income of $3,364,911.

Of course, not all of this income lands in Edwards’s pocket. A substantial portion goes towards taxes, his Lake Minnetonka residence, and agent fees. Nonetheless, after these deductions, he still earns a comfortable seven-figure income monthly.

Edwards is also embroiled in a legal dispute with another former partner, Ayesha Howard. Last month, Edwards alleged that Howard launched a “coordinated media campaign” to compel him into providing child support for their daughter, Aubri’, who was born in October 2024. Howard currently holds sole custody of Aubri’. In August 2025, she demanded $500,000 and a public apology from Edwards.

Despite these ongoing legal issues, Edwards’s performance on the court remains unaffected. He achieved career highs, averaging 28.8 points per game, with a 48.9% field goal success rate and a 39.9% three-point shooting percentage, earning him a spot on his fourth consecutive All-Star team. He also played a key role in leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to a first-round playoff victory against the Denver Nuggets, although they were subsequently defeated by the San Antonio Spurs in six games.

Edwards has been instrumental in the Timberwolves’ recent resurgence, and the team is keen on retaining him long-term. In 2023, he secured a five-year contract extension valued at $244.6 million, with the potential to rise to $260 million. With three years remaining on this contract, Edwards could be eligible for a supermax extension in a few seasons, potentially earning him over $1 million per game.

That’s a few years away, of course, but it doesn’t look like Edwards is slowing down anytime soon. We’ll see how he continues to climb the list of highest earners across NBA history.
