In Kingston, Ontario, he is serving a life sentence in a medium-security federal prison.
Dobson was denied parole till April 17, 2007. However, now that he has served more than 25 years of his life sentence sincerely, he is eligible for an annual parole review every two years.

He may be still in jail, serving his lifetime imprisonment after such brutal killing of a sweet and innocent girl. Many people believe that he should spend the rest of his life in prison for his hideous actions.
He will be again hearing parole in January 2022 after two years.

Dave Dobson, a murderer of Darlene Prioriello, is from Canada.
He kidnapped, brutally killed, and sexually assaulted Darlene “Dolly” Prioriello at a Mississauga bus stop on May 6, 1982. He even sent police disrupting letters in the “catch me if you can” style.
“I won’t attack again until sometime next year at the same time,” he wrote in a letter to Peel police. “Set your trap and try to catch me… We’ll see you next year.”

However, thanks to the police, he was apprehended and charged six days after the incident on May 12, 1982.
Darlene was just 16 years old when she was tortured, raped, and beaten to death with a concrete brick.
Darlene’s family was conducting a petition nationwide to change the current rule of the parole system. According to their petition, the parole hearings should be every five years rather than every two years as the current rule dictates.
