Alicia has received numerous awards and nominations, including MTV Movie Award, Young Artist Award and American Comedy Award. She was nominated for Golden Globe and Emmy Awards.
Alicia Silverstone Net Worth $16 Million
Alicia Silverstone was born in San Francisco, California in 1976 in an upper-middle class Jewish family. Her career in entertainment began when she was 6 years old, her first jobs being modeling and acting for various TV commercials, including one of Dominoâs Pizza. Her career took a serious turn towards film acting in 1992 when she got a chance to appear in one episode of âFred Savageâs The Wonder Yearsâ. Alicia portrayed main characterâs âdream girlâ. Following this, next year she already played a leading part in a 1993 movie âThe Crushâ. This love and revenge drama won her a MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough and Best Villain. In her early career she also starred in several TV film productions such as Torch Song, Cool and the Crazy and Scattered Dreams. Later with the help of a director Marty Callner she established herself as a teenage idol, mainly because of her appearances in several music videos for then very popular band Aerosmith. She even gained a nickname âAerosmith chickâ.
In 1995 Alicia acted in a film called âCluelessâ and soon after she was lucky enough to sign a multi-million dollar contract with Columbia Pictures. Obviously, this deal became a milestone in the accumulation of Alicia Silverstone net worth. Thanks to this contract, in 1997 she got her first role in a real big budget Hollywood production âBatman and Robinâ which was directed by Joel Schumacher. Alicia portrayed the character of Batgirl and had a chance to work together with such stars as George Clooney, Chris OâDonnell, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Uma Thurman. Her role, however, was not well received and she even received a Razzie Award for Worst Supporting Actor. Soon after she appeared alongside Benicio del Toro and Christopher Walken in âExcess Baggageâ, a movie of her own production company.
In 2000âs Alicia worked with various TV productions including children shows, animation and comedies, as well as some Broadway shows. However, it seems like Silverstone is not aiming at big screen anymore and choosing to work behind the scenes as a producer. Additionally, she is known as an author and an activist encouraging vegetarianism and protection of the environment. She actively participates and donates money to various campaigns aimed at supporting animal rights and encouraging vegetarianism. Besides that, she also involves herself in politics on a broader scale.

| Quote | |
|---|---|
| 1 | [on Blast from the Past (1999)] It was a very good experience for me. Itâs about a character that grew up in a very loving environment. |
| 2 | [on River Phoenix] I loved River Phoenix so much. I never met him, but I wanted to marry him. So if weâd ever been stuck in an elevator, all I would want to do is make him fall in love with me. [1995 âThe Sceneâ Magazine] |
| 3 | [on Clueless (1995)] Cher Horowitz knows sheâs the most beautiful, most obviously important person in the world â her world â yet she doesnât really know about the rest of the world. She evolves in the film and sees thereâs more to life than her wardrobe. Cher eventually realizes sheâs beautiful because of who she is inside, not because of her appearance. |
| 4 | Everything you do in the name of the environment not only saves your health, it saves your soul. |
| 5 | I think people that genuinely do good are great people. And I donât think, âOh, there must be something wrong with themâ. I think that thereâs something wrong with the people who arenât doing good. |
| 6 | The things that move me and excite me arenât necessarily going to be box-office hits all the time. My favorite film Iâve ever done was Loveâs Labourâs Lost (2000) and I think â in box-office terms â barely one person saw it. But I still think itâs the greatest movie and I donât care if anybody doesnât like it. I saw it in seven different countries and the audience would leave the theatre dancing. I think thatâs a pretty incredible thing. |
| 7 | Iâm not obsessed with being in the public eye. Itâs not my job to impress people â Iâm really just a working actress and I like to pick projects and do things that really inspire me. |
| 8 | To be put in a position at 15 where people are saying how sexy you are is really awkward, so I did all I could to try and diffuse that. Itâs only now that Iâve started to feel like Iâve become a lady. |
| 9 | My parents taught me about other cultures. I spent time in Africa, Cuba, Europe, Jamaica, the Amazon and that was nothing to do with work. |
| 10 | Some days I wake up and think âwhatâs wrongâ and Iâd realize itâs nothing other than waking up in a not so great a mood. Generally I feel good though. I go to yoga, I feel great. I love to wake up on Sundays â just hang out with the dogs. |
| 11 | [on her âchocolate is better than sexâ quote] I was interviewed when I was 17 and I didnât actually say that. It was the worst piece of journalism that Iâve ever been involved with. |
| 12 | âMy boyfriend calls me âprincessâ, but I think of myself more along the lines of âmonkeyâ and âretardââ. |
| 13 | I think that Clueless (1995) was very deep. I think it was deep in the way that it was very light. I think lightness has to come from a very deep place if itâs true lightness. |
| 14 | I hate people to call me âthat Aerosmith chick!â |
| 15 | I donât feel like a dream girl, but I think itâs really nice. I guess a part of me wishes I got that sort of attention in my real life. Because in my real life, Iâm this weird, dorky girl who just hangs out with her dog. |
