Devan Kalathat Santa Clara Murder-Suicide Case: Tragic Incident

Beneath the surface of a stable family and Devan Kalathat, a dark undercurrent of unrest was simmering.

The terrible reality concealed beneath the surface was revealed on a Sunday when the family’s leased home in Santa Clara, California, saw the shocking explosion of violence.

Equipped with newly obtained.45-caliber handguns, the accomplished 42-year-old engineer from Yahoo Inc. committed an act of unspeakable violence against his relatives.

The victims included his 34-year-old wife Abha, their 4-year-old daughter Neha Dev, their 11-year-old son Akhil Dev, Abha’s brother Ashok Appu Poothemkandi and his wife Suchitra Sivaraman.

Additionally, their 11-month-old baby, Ahana Ashok, was also among the victims. Sadly, Kalathat’s wife was the sole survivor, who remained in critical condition on Tuesday night.

Devan Kalathat, the murderer, took his own life at the terrible end of this tragedy, and his lifeless body was found in an upstairs bathroom.

A community is still coping with the impact of an unexplained and horrific act of domestic violence following the terrifying tragedy.

Did Abha Appu Survive after that incident? Where is she now?

Abha Appu was shot six times in a traumatic incident, leaving her with serious injuries. The terrible event occurred inside their house, apparently during a regular family get-together.

Abha Appu proved to be incredibly resilient after the attack and made it out of the terrifying situation.

Even after all this time, neither the local law enforcement nor the close-knit Indian American community have gotten any closer to figuring out why Kalathat did what he did on that fatal night on March 29, 2009.

Both the community and officials are left confused and in quest of answers since the probe has produced little insight into the reasons that preceded the horrific catastrophe.

Abha Appu had a difficult road to rehabilitation following the horrific occurrence. She went into a coma for 15 days, dealing with the physical and mental consequences of the horrible attack on her family.

The aftermath required tremendous strength, as Abha endured four surgeries to address the grave damage she sustained.

These surgical treatments tried to repair the shattered pieces of her life and body, reflecting a fight against the trauma she had experienced.

The mysteries surrounding the tragedy of the Kalathat family continue to loom large over the town, acting as a somber reminder of the frailty of interpersonal ties and the capricious character of human nature.

Abha Appu’s whereabouts are unknown as of 2023, adding to the mystery surrounding this terrible occurrence.
