Hope Solo is a well-known athlete who rose to prominence as one of the best soccer goalkeepers during her time at the University of Washington. She was instrumental in the United States Women’s National Soccer Team winning the gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
After four years, she was selected to compete in the Summer Games in London, which her team won. After making provocative comments during the 2016 Olympics, she was forced to leave the national squad.
Solo had also filed a lawsuit against U.S. Soccer over unequal payment between female and male players. Recently, she has found herself in a legal problem after the authorities found her an alleged DWI.

Hope Solo was a goalkeeper for the United States Women’s National Team. On Thursday, she was detained in North Carolina on suspicion of DWI.
She is being processed in the Forsyth County Prison at the moment. According to TMZ, she was driving with two young children at the time of the suspected DWI. It’s unclear if the children she has with former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens are her own.
Driving while intoxicated or impaired (DWI) is a more serious offense than driving while intoxicated (DUI). According to reports, she was apprehended by police in the parking lot of a Walmart in Winston-Salem.

As per her lawyer Rich Nicols, Solo can’t make an official announcement at the time. However, she wants her fans to know that her children are her life.
Furthermore, the statement also reads that she is out of custody at the time and is with her family. This is not the first time, she has been in legal trouble.
Back in 2014, she was arrested in a domestic violence incident with her sister and her nephew in Washington state. The charges were later dropped after a lengthy process in 2018.

Hope Solo is married to her husband Jerramy Stevens with who she has a happy family of four. The couple together has twins Lozen Orianna Judith Stevens and Vittorio Genghis Stevens.
Solo was born to her parents Judy Lynn (née Shaw) and Jeffrey Solo on July 30, 1981, in Richland, Washington. Growing up she had a mother as her father an Italian-American Vietnam War veteran and was in and out of her life.
She later lived with her mom after she divorced her father. Solo remembered the time she and her brother went to a baseball game in the nearby city with their dad.
Though she initially thought it was a vacation, things unfolded when the police arrested him for kidnapping. During her college days, she reconnected with her dad and has maintained a close relationship ever since.

Hope Solo was detained in North Carolina on Thursday, according to the press. She stated in a recent post that she is no longer in detention and is with her family.
The whereabouts of the case have yet to be revealed, as she is unable to make any public statements due to legal restrictions.
