Solène Favreau is quite familiar with sharing kisses with her fellow Below Deck yachties. Midway through Season 12, the French stew is romantically linked with two deckhands, Kyle Stillie and Jess Theron. However, she surprises the crew by locking lips with an unexpected new suitor in the preview for Below Deck Season 12, Episode 8.

In the video above, the Below Deck crew heads to a Carnival parade in Sint Maarten during their day off. During the car ride there, Rainbeau de Roos inadvertently hints at Solène’s upcoming kiss.

“Is this the type of carnival where everyone kisses each other?” she asks, to which Fraser Olender replies, “Yes!”  

Upon arriving at the celebration, the yachties start to unwind. The video above captures the crew getting “wild,” featuring Rainbeau licking Damo Yorg’s nipple, flirting with Kyle, and dancing with Solène and Jess.

Then, seemingly out of nowhere, Solène and Damo begin to flirt and dance together before making out in front of their castmates. 

When they start kissing, the cast is absolutely baffled, with Fraser, who previously made out with Damo, asking, “What is that?”

“Jesus Christ!” Barbara Kulaif exclaims as she watches the two.

Fraser perfectly sums up everyone’s reactions in a confessional: “I can’t say I saw this coming.”

As the pair smooches, Kyle tells bosun Hugo Ortega he is unbothered by Solène’s actions. “I’m looking at some beautiful women. I ain’t f–king bothering to look [at] what’s going on behind me brother,” he declares.

With Damo in the mix, Solène’s love triangle with Jess and Kyle may turn into a love square. In Episode 7, things were getting complicated for the stew as she juggled both of her romantic interests. While she spent her nights snuggling with Jess, she still pulled Kyle aside for kisses throughout the day. 

Kyle opened up about the situation in an episode confessional. “I wear my heart on my sleeve, and I mean if I’m in, I’m in,” he said. “But, Jess and Solène have got their thing. I can recognize that, but Solène’s still kissing me in bathrooms and whatnot.”

“It’s not a nice situation to be a part of,” Kyle added. “Solène’s toying with people’s emotions. I definitely don’t think she’s bothered about how she makes other people feel. She’s quite selfish and, yeah, I’m a bit hurt.”

Similar to the Scottish deckhand, Jess also expressed confusion about the situation. In response to Solène’s antics, she began to pursue Barbara, making Solène a little jealous. “I do have feelings for [Solène], but now that I know she’s into Kyle I’m just like ‘oh.’ I’m not gonna stop myself from feeling things towards [other] people…” Jess said in an episode interview.
