Fernandez Jr appears to be the son of Mara del Refugio Abarca and Vincent Fernando. Vincent has three siblings: Gerardo, Alejandro, and Alejandra.

Fernandez Vincente’s father, began his career as a busker and became a cultural icon, recording more than 50 albums and contributing to more than 30 films. Fernando’s repertoire included ranchers and other Mexican standards.

He received nine Latin Grammy Awards, four Grammy Awards, fourteen Lo Nuestro Awards, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his efforts. Fernando is one of the best-selling regional Mexican artists, having sold over 50 million copies worldwide.

Vincente stopped performing live in 2016, but he continued recording and publishing music. His father was named Person of the Year by the Latin Recording Academy in 2002.

That year, Fernando celebrated his 35th year in show business, during which he sold over 50 million records and was inducted into the International Latin Music Hall of Fame. Fernando has 51 gold, platinum, or multiplatinum albums by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
