Ana Walshe: Husband’s Murder Trial Postponed for Competency Evaluation

Brian Walshe has entered a guilty plea to charges of misleading the police and improperly disposing of a body, leaving the murder charge as the main focus for the upcoming trial.

Prosecutors argue that Walshe’s alleged motive for murder stemmed from an affair and a $2.7 million life insurance policy, with him as the sole beneficiary. They claim that a troubled marriage, disturbing internet searches, and DNA evidence all implicate Brian Walshe in the murder of his wife, Ana.

Notably, just three days before Ana Walshe was last seen alive, a PornHub video concerning a “cheating wife” was accessed on Brian Walshe’s laptop. Prosecutors suggest this supports their theory that Walshe was aware of Ana’s extramarital affair.

However, during cross-examination, an investigator conceded that the viewer did not specifically search for terms like “cheating” or “cuckold.” They acknowledged the possibility that the video was discovered through an unrelated search for a particular actress.

Prosecutors depict the Walshe marriage as deteriorating, with Ana forming a romantic connection with another man, William Fastow, while Brian allegedly sought an escape from the relationship.

Ana was reportedly with Fastow on Christmas Eve, missing her flight back to Cohasset. Consequently, she drove home, missing most of Christmas with her family. Less than two days later, Brian Walshe was reportedly researching which states offer favorable divorce conditions for men.

On December 27, Brian Walshe makes several divorce-related searches, including “best strategies to divorce for a man” and “What’s the best state to divorce for a man?”

Walshe claims he discussed divorce with Ana several times due to his ongoing Andy Warhol fraud case,
concerned about protecting their assets and children.

Walshe tells police Ana left home between 6 and 7 a.m. on January first for a “work emergency,” and tells officers he did not question her because he didn’t want to have another argument about missing a holiday.

Investigators begin looking at Walshe’s internet activity and find out he searches for the name of his wife’s lover, William Fastow, on Christmas Day.

On January 1, at 4:54 a.m., Walshe searches, “Best Way to Dispose of a Body.”
