The Yogurt Shop Murder, a recent episode of CBS’s 48 Hours, recounts the terrible 1991 incident in which four young girls were brutally murdered.

The crime remains unsolved three decades later, while the family waits for justice.

As per Amy Ayers obituary notice, she was one of The Yogurt Shop Murder victims. A source has provided a little background information about the teenager. 

Her father is Bob Ayers, and her mother is named Pam Ayer. She was born on January 31st, 1978. She was the family’s second child, after her elder brother Shawn.

She was raised in Texas and developed a passion for country music. She is most known for having a love for country music legend George Strait. In addition, she was an animal lover who loved cats but was kind to everyone.

She had grown up on a ranch and had been riding horses since she was three years old, so she was well-versed in farming culture. She was also a member of junior Future Farmers of America.

She was studying in eighth grade at Burnet Middle School and had plans to continue the FFA chapter in her high school. However, one unfortunate night, she was killed in the yogurt shop with Jennifer, Sarah Harbison, and Eliza Thomas.

Later, the victims’ relatives were granted a $12 million compensation, and the SAJE foundation was established to teach children about workplace safety.

Amy Ayers’s parents are Bob Ayers and Pam Ayers. Her family comprised of her parents and an elder brother named Shawn Ayers. 

Following her death, the family has been remorseful and waiting in hope for justice for their teenage daughter, who was tragically killed.

Previously, when investigators were hopeful of finding their culprit through matched DNA evidence, the FBI’s rejection to disclose the information of the identified man shattered their hope. 

The couple said that it was the only way to find the culprit of their daughter’s murder. Now it has been stopped but the FBI. Thus, they think that they are being denied justice. They continue to wait for the day when their daughter will get justice. 

Where Are Amy Ayers Parents Now?

Amy Ayers’s parents continue to wait for the police to tell them that the murderer has been arrested.

However, their whereabouts are unknown at present. But, they appeared in media for interviews every time there was a new clue in the case.
