A Minnesota man remains at large following a deadly shooting that resulted in one death and endangered several others, reportedly stemming from a dispute over $40.

Deshon Gregory, 20, faces charges of one count of second-degree murder and three counts of attempted second-degree murder, according to a criminal complaint reviewed by Law&Crime. These charges pertain to a fatal shooting that occurred in Minneapolis on Monday, resulting in the death of 30-year-old Lafayette Anthony Collaso dead.

According to the criminal complaint, the day took a violent turn when Gregory showed up at the home of a woman with whom he once had a relationship — a woman who purportedly owed him $40.

Police said that on Monday evening, Gregory went to the home of an unidentified woman after exchanging texts with her. He was accompanied by another unnamed woman. When Gregory got to the former woman”s home, he ordered her to “come out” and was “attempting to fight.”

According to the complaint, Gregory had borrowed $40 from the woman at the home while the two were on a date and was “demanding” his money back. The woman told police that Gregory had allegedly shown up earlier the same day with another man, who had a gun with him and was “threatening people.” The man with the gun was later taken into custody.

When Gregory came back that evening, the woman at the home and her two sisters came outside to see what was happening. The complaint stated that the woman accompanying Gregory “kept trying to fight” one of the sisters. Gregory then allegedly threatened the sisters, saying, “Don’t touch her, I am gonna blow at you.” He then allegedly brandished his gun and “started shooting at everyone,” fatally hitting Collasso, who was sitting on the front porch of the home.

Cameras captured the entire incident, and Gregory and the woman with him fled the scene. She has not been identified.

According to the complaint, two children were inside the home at the time of the alleged shooting. Police also noted that Gregory was under court supervision and had two pending domestic violence cases against him. These could factor into his sentencing if he is found guilty of the charges against him.

Gregory has not been taken into custody and the Minneapolis Police Department is still searching for him. The department has warned anyone who may see Gregory not to approach him since he may be armed.
