Camila Cabello goes incognito upon arrival in NYC in wake of Shawn Mendes’ breakup song

Camila Cabello touched own in New York City on Saturday afternoon.

The 24-year-old superstar was captured strolling through John F. Kennedy International Airport in an ultra cozy getup complete with a tweed jacket and a BLM beanie.

This marks Camila’s first public sighting since the release of her ex boyfriend Shawn Mendes’ breakup ballad It’ll Be Okay earlier this week.

Mendes dropped the melancholic tune just two weeks after he and the songstress announced the end of their over two year relationship on Instagram.

Underneath her oversized coat, Camila rocked a pair of baggy black sweatpants with some sort of script design on the left leg and a matching hoodie.

She also donned a pair of black platform boots and a Black Lives Matter beanie cap over her flowing dark tresses that hung below her shoulders.

With that BLM hat, along with sunglasses, and a protective mask over her mouth and nose, Cabello looked nearly unrecognizable as she made her way out of the bustling airport.

Just before the release of It’ll Be Okay, Mendes shared a photo of the sun setting alongside a message for his 65.5 million Instagram fans and followers.

‘It feels like I havnt truly connected with you guys in a while. I miss you. I hope you love this song,’ he wrote in the caption.

In the piano driven song, the Señorita singer is very direct in sharing his thoughts and emotions in the lyrics.

‘If you tell me you’re leaving – I’ll make it easy – It’ll be okay,’ Mendes sings with a slightly somber tone in the chorus.

‘If we can’t stop the bleeding – We don’t have to fix it – We don’t have to stay… I will love you either way.’

Mendes and Cabello, who first started dating in July 2019, announced their split in a joint statement on Instagram on November 17.

‘Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever. We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward,’ the wrote.

The former couple’s relationship seemed to be at an all-time high being together 24/7, while quarantining during the initial COVID-19 lockdown.

But eventually all that consistent one-on-one time at home came to an end and they went back to work, stepping up their commitments, which meant they both had to travel to promote their latest projects.

It appears their relationship couldn’t withstand all that time apart due to their hectic schedules.
