Two officials from the city of Boston were placed on unpaid leave following an alleged physical confrontation with a police officer and with each other.

Marwa Khudaynazar, aged 27, and Chulan Huang, aged 26, were arrested by Boston Police in the early hours of Thursday morning. The arrests came after a 911 call made by Khudaynazar regarding a dispute at an apartment in Boston’s Chinatown area, according to court documents shared by the local Fox affiliate WFXT. Police indicated that Khudaynazar and Huang, who were romantically involved, were fighting after Huang discovered that she had allegedly spent time with another man.

“She went on a date with my boss,” Huang reportedly told an officer. “And then they booked a hotel room and she came here to rub it in my face.”

The documents reveal that Huang allegedly took Khudaynazar’s phone to access her private messages, which reportedly led her to react physically. Huang recounted to the police, “She started punching me and then she starts biting me.”

Police observed bite marks on Huang’s chest and arms after separating the pair.

Local ABC affiliate WCVB reported that Khudaynazar told police that Huang had first cheated on her, prompting her to go on a date with his boss. She then accused Huang of “[holding] onto her wrists and wouldn’t let go,” so she bit him in self-defense.

The documents stated that she apparently had a change of heart when police placed Huang under arrest. She told police, “I don’t want that, I was lying, I was lying, I swear to god I was lying, I bit him, he has bite marks on him.”

Khudaynazar then called 911 again and allegedly attempted to block officers from escorting Huang through the doorway. She then allegedly cursed at the officer and physically assaulted him. That alleged action resulted in her being arrested and led out to a squad car.

During the arrests, Huang allegedly told officers, “We both work for the city, this is unnecessary.”
