A Colorado woman, accused of the horrific act of drugging and murdering her own children before fleeing to the United Kingdom, has been returned to the United States to face justice. The extradition was ordered by a UK court in November, marking a significant development in this tragic case, according to District Attorney Michael Allen.

Kimberlee Singler, aged 36, was apprehended in London on December 30, 2023, shortly after the bodies of her children, 6-year-old Elianna Wentz and 8-year-old Aden Wentz, were discovered by Colorado Springs police. The tragic incident unfolded when Singler claimed a robbery had gone awry, leaving her and her 11-year-old daughter injured, as reported by CrimeOnline.

Initially, Singler attempted to place the blame on her ex-husband, alleging his involvement in the attack. However, investigations soon cast doubt on her story. Authorities discovered that her ex-husband had a solid alibi, supported by the GPS data from his work vehicle. Moreover, the 11-year-old survivor reportedly identified her own mother, Singler, as the assailant.

Faced with mounting evidence, Singler now faces serious charges including murder, attempted murder, assault, and child abuse. Her attempt to avoid extradition, arguing that a potential life sentence would breach the European Convention of Human Rights, was dismissed by a British judge, paving the way for her return to Colorado to stand trial.

This case continues to unfold, as the legal system seeks to unravel the truth behind these devastating events and deliver justice for the young lives lost.

Singler fought extradition, claiming that sending her back would subject her to a potential life sentence in violation of the European Convention of Human Rights. But a British judge disagreed.

Singler is being held without bond, KKTV said.
