An Oklahoma couple allegedly attacked a woman with a crowbar and then had sex on the woman’s bed, even while they heard the victim struggle to live in her final moments, KNWA-TV reports.

Authorities made the disturbing allegations in court documents charging 25-year-old Brinlee Denison and 28-year-old Nicholas Johnson with first-degree murder in connection with the death of 29-year-old Sarah Maguire.

Investigators say Denison and Johnson were in an intimate relationship, and that Denison was also in a relationship with Maguire, according to court records obtained by KFOR-TV.com.

That made Johnson jealous, KFOR-TV reports, so he plotted to kill Maguire. Denison was reportedly aware of Johnson’s plans and helped plan the killing.

Precise details of how the killing occurred have not been made public, but authorities say both Johnson and Denison admitted to beating Maguire with a crowbar, KOKI-TV reports.

After the attack, Denison and Johnson are said to have had sex on Maguire’s bed as they heard Maguire dying.

“He stated he could still hear the victim in the living room struggling to live,” court records state.

Police in Tulsa were called to a home on January 4 to check on the welfare of a resident. When officers arrived, they found Maguire, who died from blunt force trauma.

Authorities determined that Maguire’s white Dodge Charger and other personal property were missing. Law enforcement in Fayetteville, Arkansas, later located the vehicle with Denison and Johnson sleeping inside of it.

Johnson told police that he and Denison stole electronic equipment and credit cards from Maguire and used them as they traveled to Arkansas.

Denison also helped dispose of evidence by throwing away clothing they wore during the killing, KOKI-TV reports.

In addition to the murder charge, Denison and Johnson have been charged with larceny of an automobile. Both Dennison and Johnson are each being held on more than $1 million bond.
