A man and his two children were found dead at an Ohio home on Monday in what is being investigated as a murder-suicide.

Preble County deputies reportedly discovered Shane Elliot, 40, Caleb Elliott, 13, and Grace Elliott, 10, deceased with apparent gunshot wounds at a Gratis Township home. Police responded to the home after the children’s mother requested a welfare check, according to WKRC.

WDTN reported that the three bodies were located in the living room.

WTGR reported that concerns arose after Shane Elliot was a no-show for work and his two children did not come to school. Autopsies were performed on Monday.
