On Tuesday, the FBI revealed its involvement in the investigation into the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s mother, who vanished from her Arizona residence over the weekend.
According to Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, Nancy Guthrie, aged 84, was reported missing from her Tucson home after failing to attend church on Sunday morning. Jon Edwards, Assistant Special Agent for the FBI’s Tucson office, confirmed the agency’s participation, highlighting their role in analyzing cell phone and tower data, as well as conducting crucial interviews to gather more information.
The last confirmed sighting of Guthrie was on Saturday night, as noted by Sheriff Nanos. “We don’t know if multiple people were involved,” he commented, indicating the complexity of the situation.
In a press conference held on Monday, Nanos referred to the Tucson home as a “crime scene.” However, by Tuesday, the authorities had concluded their investigation at the residence and returned it to Guthrie’s family.
Insiders have informed The Post about the presence of evidence, particularly blood and indications of forced entry, which strongly suggest that foul play could be a factor in Guthrie’s disappearance. These unsettling findings have intensified the urgency and scope of the investigation.
