A New York man is accused of using social media to threaten President Donald Trump and to say he would “put a bullet directly between” the eyes of Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia.

Daniel Kretsinger faces a federal charge of interstate communication of a threat to injure after allegedly posting the remarks on X, formerly known as Twitter, in June, according to a criminal complaint.

Kretsinger, who lives in Hauppauge, a Long Island hamlet roughly an hour from New York City, allegedly tagged Pirro in posts and recorded selfie-style videos in which he railed against her and Trump.

“You’re such a lying despicable piece of s— [Pirro] I’m specifically targeting you when I come to Washington D.C. and put a bullet directly between your eyes,” Kretsinger allegedly said in a June 30 video posted in response to one of Pirro’s X posts. “And if Trump keeps up his bulls— I may kill the president too. F— you. Eat my f—ing s—.”

About 15 minutes later, prosecutors say, Kretsinger posted another video to his X account, again replying to a post from Pirro.

“I’m gonna come to DC very f—in soon sweetheart and I’m gonna put a bullet in your f—in head,” Kretsinger said, according to the complaint. “I love you, you evil lying dirt bag thieving f—ing b—!”

Investigators later found and interviewed Kretsinger in Hauppauge about the X posts. He allegedly acknowledged that the account was his and admitted he had traveled to Washington, D.C., Florida and Long Island while looking for Pirro.

“F— america f— fox news and f— Trump,” Kretsinger wrote in another reply, according to the complaint. Pirro is a former Fox News host who became the U.S. attorney for D.C. in 2025.

Kretsinger was released into an inpatient psychiatric treatment program in New York, where he must wear an ankle monitor and stay off social media.
