Rebecca Park: Missing Pregnant Woman’s Fiance, Sister Arrested

Authorities have apprehended the sister and fiancé of a missing pregnant woman, just a day following the discovery of a body believed to be that of Rebecca Park.

The remains were located in Manistee National Forest on Tuesday afternoon. While the body has yet to be officially identified as the 22-year-old, search teams are confident it is her, according to a report from CrimeOnline.

The Wexford County Sheriff’s Office mentioned that the body bears a resemblance to Rebecca Park, but the final confirmation awaits the coroner’s assessment.

Despite this, social media has been awash with theories, even as the sheriff’s office warned that such misinformation has complicated their efforts. Much of the discussion has focused on Park’s family, including her fiancé, Richard Lee Falor, her sister, Kimberly Park, and her mother, Cortney Boatwright.

Kimberly Park was arrested early Wednesday, following the earlier detention of Falor, who faces charges related to the distribution of methamphetamine, as reported by WPBN. Falor received a bond of $1 million due to being considered a flight risk.

Kimberly Park is facing charges for evidence tampering, providing false information to police, and filing a fake felony report. Like Falor, she was also considered a flight risk and received a bond set at $750,000.

Should either of them post bond, they will be on a GPS tether.

The sheriff’s office and state investigators have not provided any further information, including regarding the condition of the body.

“There’s a lot of moving parts, and the sheriff will give updates as soon as they become available,” said Michigan State Police Seventh District Public Information Officer Ashley Miller. “Right now, it is very active. We have a lot of detectives and department members working on this.”

Miller told the Detroit Free Press that an autopsy has not yet been scheduled.

Rebecca Park was last seen on November 3 when she got into a car outside her mother’s home after reportedly telling a family member someone was picking her up. She was about 38 weeks pregnant.

Falor and Kimberly Park are scheduled for probable cause hearings on December 2.
