A Florida resident is currently in custody following a string of threatening voice messages directed at his former girlfriend. Law enforcement officials in the Sunshine State report that these messages became increasingly lurid and aggressive.
Christian Jesus Arias Acosta, 26, has been charged with one count of written threat to kill or inflict bodily injury, specifically relating to domestic violence, according to court documents from Miami-Dade County.
The messages were sent after the couple ended their relationship, according to the Miami Police Department. The woman involved reported that their relationship lasted approximately five months before they decided to part ways.
But the man allegedly could not take the rejection.

On the morning of June 6, the woman contacted police and reported the violent threats, according to a police report obtained by Miami-based ABC affiliate WPLG.
After receiving some of the messages in question, the victim pleaded with the defendant, according to law enforcement.
“And if I don”t let you see me, you won’t stop bothering me?” she asked. “Christian, please stop.”
To which the man allegedly answered: “No, never – until you die.”
The alleged threats became graphic as time went by.
“I am going to explain to you how I will decapitate you and hang your head on the balcony of your house,” Arias Acosta said at one point, according to the police report.
The victim provide law enforcement with recordings of the threats, police say.
This week, Arias Acosta was arrested at Power Gym on Northwest Seventh Street in the Little Havana neighborhood of Miami – after the victim shared his location with law enforcement.
Police allege the defendant was arrested without incident and taken to police headquarters. There, he allegedly waived his Miranda rights and, during a custodial interview, confessed to at least some details concerning the woman he previously dated.
Law&Crime reached out to the Miami Police Department for additional details on this story but no response was forthcoming by the time of publication.
Court records show a man with the same name has a history of additional domestic-related charges, including one count of aggravated stalking from 2022 and one count of domestic battery from February of this year.
In the present case, Arias Acosta has been assigned a public defender, court records show.
He is currently being detained in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on $7,500 bond.
