GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Tavellion Shaqur Ullah, 26, was arrested this morning after he was accused of exposing himself in a vehicle at the Kiwanis Challenge Playground parking lot at 2002 NW 36th Avenue.
A Gainesville Police Department officer went to the park shortly after 7:40 a.m. on September 21. The victim told police she had been sitting in her car when she saw Ullah in his vehicle with the door open, allegedly masturbating. She recorded the incident while contacting law enforcement.
According to the officer’s report, the video showed Ullah seated in the driver’s seat with the vehicle door open and his genitals exposed while he was actively masturbating.
After being read his Miranda rights, Ullah reportedly denied masturbating, saying he had been “hanging out” before starting his Uber Eats shift. Police said he continued to deny engaging in the conduct in a public place even after being told the incident had been recorded.
Ullah faces a charge of indecent exposure of sexual organs. His criminal history includes three felony convictions and one misdemeanor conviction. He has served one state prison sentence and was released in 2023. A sworn complaint filed that year accused him of making a written threat to kill, but that charge was later dropped. Bail is scheduled to be set on September 22.
