Gainesville Man Gets 15 Years in Prison in 20-Count Child Pornography Case

Staff report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Alexander William Callison, 30, has been sentenced to 15 years in state prison and 10 years of sexual offender probation after pleading nolo contendere to 20 charges related to child pornography and online solicitation.

Callison was arrested on June 4, 2025, following an investigation that began with CyberTip reports tied to Kik accounts. According to authorities, one tip led investigators to an account containing 651 images and videos, including 591 that reportedly showed the same individual masturbating, described as a thin, muscular white male with a cross tattoo on his chest and another tattoo on his forearm.

A second CyberTip reportedly documented conversations with other Kik users who identified themselves as minors. Investigators said Callison sent videos of himself masturbating after those users stated they were minors. The chats also allegedly included 16 instances in which he asked users who said they were minors to send explicit images or videos.

Investigators linked a phone number used to create the first Kik account to Callison. The upload IP address connected to the second CyberTip was also associated with that same phone number, according to court records.

On June 5, 2026, Callison entered a plea of nolo contendere to 10 counts of using a computer to solicit a minor, five counts of transmission of material harmful to minors, two counts of possession of child pornography, and three counts of directing or promoting a sexual performance by a child.

Judge Susanne Wilson Bullard imposed three concurrent 15-year prison sentences for the counts of directing or promoting a sexual performance by a child. She also ordered 10 concurrent five-year terms of sex offender probation for the computer solicitation charges, followed by seven additional concurrent five-year probation terms on the remaining counts. Callison will be classified as a sexual offender and will be subject to lifetime registration requirements.

Callison has remained in the Alachua County Jail since his arrest and will receive credit for 370 days already served toward his prison sentence.
