Georgia Man Offers Son’s Babysitter $2,000 to Sleep With Him

A Georgia man was arrested in Florida this week after he offered his son’s 15-year-old babysitter $2,000 to spend the night with him.

Lester Tellez, 45, unexpectedly visited his ex-girlfriend’s apartment on Monday and took his son, who was being cared for by the ex’s sister, out shopping as reported by the City of Miami Police. He returned soon after, then contacted the babysitter, offering her money to spend the night with him, according to a WFOR report.

The babysitter refused, telling him not to address her like that before ending the call. Later, however, he messaged her on WhatsApp, proposing “2000 for us to spend the whole night,” as detailed in a police report shared by WFLA.

The teen and her sister called police, who texted Tellez while pretending to be the girl.

“You know I am only about to turn 16,” detectives told him.

“Don’t tell me you have not masturbated,” he replied.

“That’s all you want for the $2000?” the detectives wrote back. He replied, “Let’s make love” and said he had a vasectomy and would wear a condom.”

Investigators revealed that he described graphically what he intended to do with the girl, claiming he was at a hospital with his dying grandmother. He further attempted to authenticate his location by sending GPS coordinates and a photo of an elderly woman in a hospital bed.

“Why don’t we do this?” Tellez texted the detectives. “Do you have Chase or something where I can send you money until I come back and you send me naked photos or videos of you.”

The detectives tracked Tellez down and arrested him.

Tellez told them he didn’t send any of the texts and that a friend had borrowed his phone for the day.

When detectives showed him the texts, he admitted offering the teen $2,000 and said he didn’t actually have the money.

He was charged with lewd and lascivious conduct and promoting sexual performance by a child.

Tellez was released on bond on Wednesday, according to WFOR.
