Valeria Aguilar, 29, admitted to charges of burglary with assault and battery and received a probation sentence. The incident unfolded on March 25 at a Costco gas station, where Aguilar was reportedly yelling at other customers and a station attendant. One of the customers, arriving in a Subaru Forester, engaged Aguilar in a heated exchange, later suggesting to the attendant to cancel Aguilar’s membership.
Aguilar reacted angrily, pursuing the customer and initiating a physical altercation. In defense, the other woman brandished an ax.
According to an arrest report accessed by Law&Crime, Aguilar chased the woman with her vehicle, exited, and physically attacked her, punching her in the head and pulling at her clothing. In response, the woman pulled out an ax multitool for self-defense.
Both Aguilar and the other woman sustained cuts during the altercation. The Subaru driver managed to leave the scene. Emergency responders later arrived, taking Aguilar to a hospital for treatment before she was arrested and charged with burglary involving assault or battery.
Aguilar was struck in the face and arms, and both women suffered lacerations. The Subaru driver drove away from the scene. When first responders arrived, they brought Aguilar to the hospital to be treated. After that, she was arrested and charged with burglary with assault or battery.
Online court records stated that Aguilar entered a guilty plea on April 29. She was sentenced to two years of supervised community control followed by five years’ probation.
