Two truck drivers successfully defended themselves against an attempted carjacking by armed assailants at a Melbourne service station parking lot.
Bystanders recorded the intense confrontation on their phones as the drivers stood their ground against the attackers, who have since fled the scene.
Video footage shows a chaotic scuffle involving three men at a service station in Scoresby, located in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.
Despite being outnumbered, one of the LG delivery drivers bravely fended off the attackers.
Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers hurled racial slurs at the driver and demanded the keys to his truck.
As the assailants attempted to escape, the driver was joined by a colleague. Armed with a spirit level, the two retaliated, even as one of the attackers inexplicably tried to grab a guitar from their getaway vehicle.
As the fight fizzled out the brave delivery driver delivered one last flurry of blows.
Police said there were no serious injuries in the fight and the two alleged carjackers fled in a red Subaru southbound on the Eastlink.
