Inyoung You’s abusive text messages to Alexander Urtula were posted on Reddit. They had over 75,000 text message exchanges two months before his death.

She was with Alex at Renaissance parking garage when he leaped and killed himself on May 20, 2019.

You and Urtula started dating in late 2017 or early 2018 when they were both students at Boston College. She started getting abusive toward her boyfriend after finding out that he lied about meeting his ex-girlfriend.

In their 18 month relationship, Inyoung sent several abusive texts message to Alex and often told him to die by suicide, reports Buzzfeed News.

Before her trial, news media including, Boston Globe, published their text messages. She first appeared in Boston’s Suffolk County Superior Court on November 22, 2019, when she was 21 years old.

Inyoung You Pleaded Guilty To Alexander Urtula Death

Inyoung You, a 23-year-old woman, has pleaded guilty to manslaughter on December 23 after constantly telling Alexander Urtula to kill himself. He then went to kill himself.

In a plea agreement, she accepted the responsibility and consequences her abusive text messages had a role in Alexander’s suicide. You accepted the responsibility that her psychological, physical, and verbal abuse contributed to his suicide.

If she violates any of the probation terms in the next ten years, she might serve two and a half years in prison. Inyoung will do community service and undergo mental health treatment.

What Is Inyoung You Last Name? Nationality Revealed

Inyoung’s last name is You. She was studying economics at Boston College and was scheduled to graduate in 2020, reports Heavy.

Inyoung You’s nationality is South Korean. 

On October 18, 2019, she got indicted by the grand jury. Inyoung dropped out of Boston College during her junior year and returned to South Korea. She had to return to the US for her trial in the Alexander Urtula case.
