Dunlap was a 19-year-old teen who, in rage, had attacked his fellow workers after being fired from his job.

Nathan Dunlap is still alive and has been able to save himself from being executed through many legal proceedings.

He was held guilty of four counts of first-degree murder, attempted murder, robbery, and burglary later in 1996.

Dunlap was sentenced to death and additional 108 years. He had repeatedly sworn for three minutes in an outburst during his sentencing.

His execution date was in mid-August 2013 after his lengthy battles in court.

However, his execution was put on hold, as then Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper decided against executing or granting him clemency.

As of March 2020, Dunlap has been sentenced to life imprisonment without parole.

Thus, the Colorado shooter will live his last day in his jail cell though his prison’s name is not displayed.

He is currently one of the three inmates serving death row without parole in Colorado.

Chuck E Cheese Colorado Case 2021 Explored

Natha Dunlap committed the Chuck E Cheese Colorado shooting case on December 14, 1993.

He entered the family restaurant as a customer, stayed till the off-hours, and started shooting his former co-workers.

Dunlap was fired five months before the shooting day and had sworn to “get even” with the management.

He was fired due to his behavior problems with his manager. Meanwhile, the manager who fired him was not present that day.

Out of five people, Dunpalp shot, one played dead thus, he waited till Dunlap was gone and alerted the securities.

Dunlap was arrested twelve hours later at his mother’s house.

Aside from shooting down the Chuck E Cheese workers, Dunlap had also stolen $1,500 worth of cash and game tokens.

The case is still one of the most talked-about and fearsome cases in the state as of 2021.

Nathan Dunlap hailed from a blended family, including his adoptive father and biological mother.

He never met his birth father and had moved to Colorado in 1984 after his parents married.

Dunlap’s mother struggled with mental health issues, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

With his hard family backdrop, he had attempted suicide twice during his teen years.

Dunlap had committed several armed robberies at fifteen, using a golf club and then firearms.

He even spent time at a juvenile detention center and later at a psychiatric hospital.

Young Dunlap sold drugs after he was released. He was even arrested five times for misdemeanor offenses in 1993.

He was hired in Chuck E Cheese in May 1993 but was fired in July. His infamous crime story started after he was fired.
