A Kentucky man was arrested after an hours-long stand-off and charged with firing shots a police officers.
According to WLKY, Bardstown Police were summoned to a residential area at around 10 p.m. on Wednesday following a report of gunfire. The suspect, 43-year-old Travis Bowman, fled into a house and barricaded himself within.
For the next five hours, he allegedly fired multiple rounds at officers attempting to get him outside. Eventually, they were successful.
Jail records indicate that Bowman faces charges of attempted murder and wanton endangerment of a police officer, in addition to a failure to appear charge. However, he has not been charged in connection with the initial shooting report. His bond has been set at $500,000.
Police did not say if any police officers were injured while the bullets flew. Kentucky State Police continue the investigation.
