News footage of Adrian Bailey during his court appearance on Dec. 29 (KLAS).
Adrian Bailey, 27, stands accused of two counts of open murder after authorities allege he killed his parents, Roger and Kristine Bailey, on December 27 in their Las Vegas residence. According to an arrest report sourced by local CBS affiliate KLAS, Bailey contacted 911 at approximately 11:30 p.m., confessing that he needed to be “taken in for murder.” During the call, he reportedly admitted to killing his parents because he “couldn’t take it anymore.”
When officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the address given by dispatchers, Adrian Bailey was not present. Subsequently, he called 911 a second time from another location, instructing dispatchers that officers should “kill him on sight,” citing himself as a danger to both himself and others. The report notes Bailey was “hysterical” during this call, admitting to having been drinking and claiming he killed his father due to “enough abuse,” although he stated it was not intentional.
Authorities apprehended Bailey at 11:45 p.m. at the second location. At the time of his arrest, he reportedly had blood on his skin and clothing. During police questioning, Bailey requested legal representation.
Roger Bailey was declared dead at the scene, while Kristine Bailey was transported to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries. Both victims suffered blunt force trauma and were discovered in the living room of their home. The arrest report also mentions the discovery of a child-sized baseball bat at the top of a staircase, accompanied by blood spatter on the wall.
