A 49-year-old man is in critical condition after an alleged assault outside a hotel in Sydney’s southern suburbs.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Forest Road in Hurstville shortly before 10 p.m. last night following reports of an assault.
Paramedics provided on-site treatment to the injured man before he was transported to St George Hospital. He is currently in serious but stable condition and has been placed in an induced coma.
Authorities have been informed that the incident began when the man, who was a patron at the hotel, stepped outside to address a motorcyclist about the noise from his vehicle.
After the motorcycle was moved, the rider allegedly assaulted the man, then quickly left the scene on his bike.
It is believed that the two men were strangers prior to the incident.
