Two men have been injured after a group armed with machetes and a double-barrelled shotgun broke into a home in Sydney’s south-west overnight.
Emergency services were called to a home in Hamlet Crescent, Rosemeadow, at about 1.40am.
Police were told three to four men, armed with two machetes and a shotgun, had broken into the home through the front door.
The men wore dark clothing, gloves, and face coverings.
Two men living at the home, aged 53 and 19, were assaulted.
Four women, aged in their 20s, who were in the home at the time, were uninjured.
The attackers left the premises without any proceeds and were last seen running into Lear Place.
The 53-year-old man was treated for facial lacerations and the 19-year-old man for minor injuries, before both were taken to hospital in a stable condition.
The attack is believed to be targeted.
