Diane Keaton's final moments laid bare in chilling 911 call

Diane Keaton’s final moments have been revealed in a 911 call as friends say she was ‘very thin’ in the days leading to her shock passing at 79.

Further evidence of the sudden nature of Keaton’s death emerged Sunday with the release of the 911 call that was made to emergency responders.

The recording, acquired by TMZ on Sunday, captures a dispatcher summoning the LA Fire Department to address a ‘person down’ at Keaton’s residence shortly after 8 a.m. on Saturday.

The Oscar-winning actress was transported to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

She was with her loved ones at the time of her passing, a family member informed the Associated Press, and the family has requested privacy. No additional details have been released.

Yet, close confidants of the star, known for Annie Hall, Father of the Bride, and The First Wives Club, recall her increasing reclusiveness over the past year, with longtime friend and songwriter Carole Bayer-Sager noting how alarmingly thin Keaton had appeared before her sudden passing.

Emergency responders rushed to Diane Keaton's home Saturday morning following a 911 call for a 'person down' at the residence, accrrding to a dispatch recording obtained by TMZ Sunday

Emergency crews hurried to Diane Keaton’s residence on Saturday morning following a 911 report of a ‘person down’ at the location, according to a dispatch recording recovered by TMZ on Sunday.

‘I saw her two or three weeks ago, and she was very thin,’ Sager said. ‘She had lost so much weight.

Sager said that Keaton had spent some time this year picking up the pieces from the wildfires that ravaged Southern California in January.

Sager said Keaton’s weight loss was noticeable by the end of the the emotional process.

‘She had to go to Palm Springs because her house has been damaged inside and they had to clean everything, Sager said.

Sager continued, ‘She was down there for a while, and when she came back, I was kind of stunned by how much weight she’d lost.’

Sager described her late friend as ‘a magic light for everyone.’

Sager shared, ‘I just adored her. She was unique, she had an energy that illuminated any room. She was joyful and optimistic, always taking photographs of everything around her. She was an endlessly creative spirit; she never ceased creating.’

Keaton’s passing prompted heartfelt tributes from Hollywood icons like Leonardo DiCaprio, Bette Midler, Francis Ford Coppola, and many others.

DiCaprio called the Oscar-winning star ‘brilliant, funny and unapologetically herself,’ adding that ‘she will be deeply missed.’

Middler said of Keaton, ‘She was hilarious, a complete original, and completely without guile, or any of the competitiveness one would have expected from such a star. What you saw was who she was…oh, la, lala!’

Coppola said in an Instagram post, ‘Words can’t express the wonder and talent of Diane Keaton.

The Godfather director added, ‘Endlessly intelligent, so beautiful…Everything about Diane was creativity personified.’

One of Keaton’s confidantes told People that the star’s health essentially fell off a cliff in recent months, ‘which was heartbreaking for everyone who loved her.”‘

Said the confidante: ‘She declined very suddenly. It was so unexpected, especially for someone with such strength and spirit.’

‘In her final months, she was surrounded only by her closest family, who chose to keep things very private. Even longtime friends weren’t fully aware of what was happening.’
