A Florida woman is currently incarcerated after allegedly stabbing her teenage sister approximately ten times, following an altercation that arose when the younger sibling attempted to prevent her from accessing her phone.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the incident unfolded on a Sunday afternoon in Cutler Bay, as reported by WPLG. The arrest report details that the 15-year-old victim awoke from a nap in the living room to find her 26-year-old sister, Lynn My Le, perusing her phone.
Upon confronting Le and attempting to reclaim her phone, the situation escalated. Le armed herself with a knife, causing the teenager to attempt an escape toward the front door. Le pursued her and inflicted approximately four stab wounds to the teen’s back. After the young girl collapsed to the ground, Le continued the assault with six additional stabs, despite the victim’s pleas for mercy.
Eventually, Le ceased her attack. She has been charged with attempted murder but has chosen not to cooperate with detectives or provide any statements.
It remains unclear who alerted authorities by calling 911.
In a hearing held on Monday, Le was denied bail. Her arraignment is set for November 17.
