Police in East Tennessee are looking for a 15-year-old boy who left a note saying he knows he’s a burden to his family asking his parents not to look for him.

Taylor Lee Ogle was last seen just before 3 p.m. on March 22 walking toward the Pigeon Forge Community Center, according to the Pigeon Forge Police Department.

According to WVLT, Ogle’s pencil-written note begin, “Dear parents, I know I’m a burden for this family. I also know that even so you all still love me.”

The teen stresses that he’s freely choosing to leave, adding that he doesn’t “want to live here.”

“I’ve been dealing with a lot lately and seem to be falling behind in my life,” he wrote. “I love you all but I just need to find myself.”

Ogle says he’s going to live with a friend.

“If you look for me please known I’m prepared to run. I will do whatever it takes,” Ogle wrote, closing with “Please respect my choice of leaving and let me go.”

Pigeon Forge police said the teen is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 130 pounds with black hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, and gray Converse shoes. He was carrying a black mesh backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 865-453-9063.
