A 19-year-old New Mexico man was charged this week with making violent threats against Jews, Black people, and liberals.
The US Attorney’s Office for the District of New Mexico has reported that Jace Allen made a series of racist and violent threats on social media using the pseudonym “Jebron Lames,” a clear parody of NBA player LeBron James. According to documents, Allen expressed his intent to carry out mass murder.
Allen issued threats towards minority groups and spoke of attacking unspecified locations. Additionally, he singled out an Ohio city council member, declaring, “You’re going to be the first to die.”
These threats surfaced shortly after the murder of MAGA activist Charlie Kirk in Utah on a Wednesday, as reported by Source NM. One of the messages reportedly stated, “I will harm anyone who has something bad to say about Charlie.”
The FBI’s Toledo, Ohio division traced the threats back to a cell phone and residence in Jamestown, a small village near Gallup in western New Mexico. During an interview on Thursday, as per court documents, Allen allegedly confessed to being a Neo-Nazi with intense hatred for minorities, particularly Jews, and expressed his desire to incite a civil war through online intimidation.
While Allen confessed to making the threats, he claimed not to own any firearms. Nevertheless, a search of his phone revealed videos of him using a rifle and a handgun in the previous month.
Allen is charged with transmitting communications containing a threat to injure another person and faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
