A Pennsylvania man remains on the run after authorities said a late-night shooting left a woman dead and her husband wounded as the couple sat outside their home.
Philadelphia police have issued an arrest warrant for Shariff Perry, 35, in connection with the Aug. 9 killing of 61-year-old Michelle Wilson. Citing local Fox affiliate WTXF, police responded at 11:49 p.m. to reports of a man armed with a gun in a North Philadelphia neighborhood and found Wilson and her 67-year-old husband suffering from gunshot wounds.
The couple was taken to a hospital, where Wilson was pronounced dead shortly after midnight. Her husband survived and remained hospitalized in stable condition.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about Perry’s whereabouts to contact the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334 or call the department’s tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477). Anonymous tips are accepted.
Wilson, who had reportedly spent a long day working on the couple’s new food truck before the shooting, was killed while sitting on the porch with her husband, police said.
