Authorities in Georgia are currently probing the mysterious disappearance of a prominent dentist who vanished earlier this week.
Melanie Nadler Litt, aged 52, was last observed departing from her workplace on Monday at a dental office located on Villa Rica Way in Marietta. She was expected at the Family Dentistry at Seven Hills in Dallas on Tuesday but never arrived, prompting her colleagues to contact the police for a welfare check, as reported by FOX 5.
After obtaining consent from her husband, Lesley Litt, police searched their Marietta residence, finding no one home at the time.
During their investigation, Cobb County officers discovered a work bag near the home’s entrance, along with Litt’s cellphone, which was turned off. However, her vehicle and wallet were notably absent.
No evidence pointing to foul play was observed, according to ANF.
Lesley Litt, who arrived home from a trip to visit their son in another state, informed authorities that nothing seemed out of place. He shared with FOX 5 that he was away during the time of her disappearance.
“We all want to see her home and safe, and we love her dearly,” he said.
A friend, Carolyn Watson Patt, had similar feelings on Litt’s appearance.
“That’s completely out of character for her, completely,” she said. “She has a whole village of people who love her. We’re worried 24/7 right now.”
Litt’s friends said police later located her vehicle abandoned in a “large parking lot” on Barrett Parkway in Cobb County, according to ANF.
Litt is described as a white female who stands 5 feet, 1 inch tall, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
If you have any information about Litt or her whereabouts, you are encouraged to contact the Cobb County Police Department at (770) 499-3900, or dial 911.
