Multiple cars have been damaged and a woman treated by paramedics after people threw bricks off an overpass on the Princes Highway in Springvale, Melbourne, on the weekend.
Authorities were alerted to an incident involving three youths reportedly hurling bricks from an overpass shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday.
Their reckless actions resulted in damage to the windshields of five vehicles.
Among those affected, a woman required medical attention after glass fragments injured her eye.
Additionally, several cars suffered punctured tires due to the scattered brick debris.
“We are incredibly thankful that the injuries were limited to just one minor case, as the situation could have been far more catastrophic,” remarked Detective Senior Constable Simon Jacobs.
He further implored the perpetrators to come forward, accept accountability, and express empathy towards the injured individual.
Nobody has been arrested so far.
Police are urging any witnesses or anybody with footage or information to contact Crime Stoppers online or on 1800 333 000.
