In the heart of Hollywood, California, Private Investigator Steve Fischer delves into the enigmatic case of David Anthony Burke. His mission: to uncover the events that unfolded within a lavish mansion rented by Burke and his manager.
The mansion’s owner has enlisted Fischer to confirm whether Celeste ever visited the estate and to pinpoint the last occasion she was seen there. During his investigation, Fischer stumbles upon bizarre and unsettling items, even by Hollywood standards, which he promptly hands over to the LAPD.
Fischer, not the LAPD, discovers bottles of prescription painkillers and drug-related paraphernalia. His discovery comes after Celeste’s body is identified in Burke’s Tesla, prompting law enforcement to serve a search warrant.
While Burke resided in the mansion, a variety of other individuals, both men and women, were also present. Their personal effects were found scattered across guest rooms, bathroom cabinets, and bedside drawers.
Fischer meticulously reviews surveillance tapes, engages with neighbors, and constructs a timeline concerning Celeste and Burke’s Tesla to ascertain the last moments she was seen alive.
On July 29, the day the neglected Tesla was last moved, Burke was indeed in town. Fischer has successfully identified the individual behind the wheel.
