A woman will face court over the alleged theft of some speciality wigs meant for children with cancer in Melbourne.
An incident reportedly occurred at a business on Lennox Street, Richmond, around 3:30 PM on September 22.
The woman allegedly entered the establishment, concealed four wigs inside her jacket and a bag, and exited the store, where a man was waiting for her outside.
The wigs, intended for donation to children battling cancer in hospitals, were placed in the reception area before being taken.
Police carried out a warrant at a residence in Clayton South yesterday morning, leading to the arrest of a 45-year-old woman.
She now faces charges of theft and violating bail conditions.
The woman is scheduled to appear in court on October 30.
The investigation is ongoing.
