A Colorado man allegedly attacked a homeowner he had never met after passing by the residence in Aurora.
Kendan Lubovich, 33, is being held without bond at the Arapahoe County Jail in connection with the alleged assault of 63-year-old Tom Ruszkowski. According to local NBC affiliate KUSA, surveillance video shows Lubovich walking along the sidewalk outside Ruszkowski’s home. Ruszkowski told the station that he was in his garage when Lubovich allegedly approached from behind and began beating him.
Asked whether Lubovich said anything during the attack, Ruszkowski replied, “Not one word.”

During his interview with KUSA, Ruszkowski was seen with multiple facial injuries that required staples and sutures. He also lost a tooth and sustained a shoulder injury.
KUSA reported that Lubovich was out on bail in three separate assault cases pending in other counties. Those cases have been placed on hold while officials determine whether Lubovich is mentally competent.
Lubovich has been charged with assault and appeared in court Wednesday. His next court date had not been made public.
