Alleged 'Kill crew' trio charged with kidnapping and murdering Sydney woman Thi Kim Tran
Three men allegedly part of a “kill crew” sent to kill an organised criminal network member have been charged with kidnapping and murdering his wife in south-west Sydney.

On the night of April 17, a terrifying incident unfolded in Bankstown when 45-year-old Thi Kim Tran was allegedly abducted from her home at around 10:30 p.m. A group of men reportedly broke into her residence and took her at gunpoint, escalating the situation into a harrowing ordeal.

During the invasion, an eight-year-old boy was brutally attacked with a baseball bat, leaving him in a coma. The attackers then forced Tran to disrobe on the street before compelling her into an SUV. A 15-year-old boy present at the scene was also taken to the hospital for evaluation following the traumatic events.

Police allege Tran was stripped naked in the street, before she was shot and the SUV she was in set alight.

Just an hour after the abduction, authorities responded to a car fire on Welfare Avenue in Beverly Hills. Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze, but the vehicle was completely destroyed. Tragically, Tran’s body was discovered inside the charred remains.

Law enforcement officials suggest that Tran may have been targeted due to her husband’s alleged connections with an organized crime syndicate operating out of Victoria. The investigation is ongoing as police work to unravel the details behind this shocking crime.

Fire crews extinguished the blaze, but the car was destroyed and police found Tran dead inside.

Police allege the woman was likely targeted due to her husband’s involvement with a Victoria-based organised criminal network.

Nguyen is not alleged to have killed Tran himself, but to have brought the three men who allegedly did to her home and facilitated it.

Strike Force Bushfield detectives yesterday arrested three men, aged 32, 20 and 21, allegedly part of a “kill crew” tasked with finding and killing Ms Tran’s husband.

Police claim the men murdered Tran when they couldn’t find her husband.

They were charged with murder, conspiring to murder, wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, kidnapping in company and participating in a criminal group.

No details were provided about when they would face court.
