Video evidence has emerged showing a white utility vehicle, which authorities report as stolen, pursuing and encircling a group of Jewish boys in St Kilda East around 9:50 p.m.

The individuals inside the vehicle are accused of making Nazi salutes and yelling hate-filled remarks.

A 15-year-old suspect was taken into custody in Carrum yesterday morning and questioned in connection with this alarming event.

The teenager, hailing from the Yarra Ranges, was also interrogated regarding a series of other alleged crimes occurring in the city’s south-eastern suburbs.

He faces charges of vehicle theft and has been released on bail, with a court appearance scheduled at a later date in a juvenile court.

The investigation into the St Kilda East incident is ongoing, as detectives actively search for a second teenager believed to have participated in the act.
