One of the two people charged in the death of a Wisconsin teenager has changed his plea.
Peyton Carnot, 17, pleaded no contest to second-degree reckless homicide in the death of 13-year-old Jakob Bowerman. Prosecutors accuse Carnot and 22-year-old Tylor Birch of lifting Jakob by his hands and feet and throwing him from a pier into a lake in Marinette County on Aug. 20, 2025. Jakob, who had autism and could not swim, died from drowning three days later.
Carnot was 16 when the incident occurred but was charged as an adult.
