An 18-year-old Detroit woman is fighting for her life after she was repeatedly run over in a school parking lot and left for dead.

Police have not released the identity of the woman, who is in very critical condition, WDIV reported.

A man walking his dog found her outside Fisher Magnet Upper Academy just before 9 a.m. Monday morning, police said. She had been unconscious for hours.

“Someone rolled over her, backed up, and rolled over her again. So she was just left for dead,” Detroit Police Captain Kimberly Blackwell said, according to WJBK.

Police said the attack happened before school hours and that the woman was not a student there.

Investigators said surveillance cameras at the school show the victim being run over multiple times, but the images aren’t very good.

Blackwell also said that investigators believe the young woman knew her attacker, WDIV said.
