A Georgia woman is in custody after authorities discovered the remains of a 4-year-old child in the trunk of her Nissan sedan on Sunday.

The suspect, identified as Jessica Motes, is now facing charges of felony concealment of a death. The nature of her relationship with the deceased child remains unknown, according to police reports.

On Sunday, Motes reportedly met her father in a shopping center parking lot in Oakwood. She allegedly confessed to him that she had harmed the child, whose name has been withheld, adding, “I think she is dead,” as reported by 11 Alive News.

Upon receiving this information, Motes’ father contacted law enforcement. Officers arrived at the scene and discovered the child’s remains in the trunk of Motes’ vehicle.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, in collaboration with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, is actively investigating the case.

As the investigation is ongoing, further details have not yet been released. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
