Clinton and Cristen Brink have recently moved to Arkansas with their daughters and decide to go for a hike in Devils Den State Park.
The family is unexpectedly attacked on a hiking trail by an assailant armed with a knife. Clinton, who is 43, engages in a struggle with the attacker, while Cristen, 41, runs with their daughters, Arianna, 9, and Christina, 7, until they reach a safe distance from the conflict.
Cristen instructs the girls to go towards their parked car and seek help. She then rushes back to assist her husband. Following her instructions, the girls encounter some other hikers in the park, who escort them to the park’s entrance to inform a ranger about the incident.
Joseph Scott Morgan and Dave Mack analyze this alarming event, delving into the forensic methods that led to the identification of the suspect, Andrew McGann, and the evidence that links him to the crime.
