Christmas is a time when families and relatives get together to wish each other well and express their love. It is a Christian festival, and they celebrate it with zeal.

On the other hand, there are sons like Dino Tomasetti who, rather than celebrating and thanking his parents, chose to murder them. What could be the motivation for such a heinous act?

Dino Tomassetti was a young man from Hewlett Harbor, New York. People reached the crime scene after receiving a call and found the two people with gunshot wounds.

The neighbor showed the house of Tomassetti, and the person who shot the victims is their son. The incident happened on the morning of Christmas day, 25th December 2021.

Their son fled in a Cadillac Escalada, however, police broadcast the license plate number of the vehicle. They didn’t mention that at the same time they were also tracking it via GPS.

Not to let the shooter run away, police shut down the highway, and as a result, the suspect stopped near Ramapo Valley Road and surrendered without any incident.

Dino was 29 years old who was born in 1992 and raised in New York. He is yet to be charged but remained in the custody. Several people saw him leaving the house.

Dino Tomassetti shot his father Rocco Tomassetti and mother Vincenza Tomassetti. He tried to murder them but, they were rushed to the hospital and being treated. 

He shot his mother on the head, and his father on his back, but both of them are expected to survive the shot. The reason for the murder trial is not known for now.

Dino fled after the shooting but, he was tracked down by the police and is under custody for now. The police might highlight the cause of the shooting once finalizing the investigation.

Dino Tomassetti was born to Rocco Tomassetti and Vincenza Tomassetti. They are 65 and 64 years of age respectively. The incident happed on 25th December 2021.

They required surgery following the double shooting shortly after 10 am on Seawane Drive in the village of Hewlett Harbor on the island’s South Shore, law enforcement sources said.

Other family members of Tomassetti are not known. He might be the single child of his parents, however, it is rather better not to have a child than to have one like him.
