On Wednesday evening around 8:50 pm, a woman experienced an alleged assault at her residence on Woodroffe Avenue in Palmerston, as reported by Northern Territory Police.
The suspect managed to leave the scene before law enforcement arrived and is still on the run, according to detectives from the Sex Crimes Unit.
Authorities describe the suspect as an adult male of Aboriginal descent, characterized by a tall and slim physique, wavy hair, and last seen wearing a light-colored shirt, dark shorts, and flip-flops.
Police have been actively searching the vicinity for security camera footage and continue to ask for assistance from the community.
Officials advise anyone who spots an individual fitting this description to refrain from confronting him and to immediately inform the police.
